Crews Make Progress in Restoring Power, But Another Storm Is on the Way

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Utility crews are making progress in restoring power across Oklahoma with the number of outages at just over 350,000 this morning.

Oklahoma Gas & Electric reports about 132,000 outages this morning while Public Service Company of Oklahoma has about 176,000.

About 42,500 customers of rural electric cooperatives are still in the dark.

Sunshine is forecast for today with highs in the 40s and 50s but another storm is approaching the state and snow is forecast to start falling Friday.

The number of deaths related to the ice storm is now up to 21 with 13 killed in auto accidents. Three people died in a house fire in Oklahoma City while two died in separate house fires in Tulsa and one was killed in a Bristow house fire.

Two other people have died of carbon monoxide poisoning.
